Expense Tracker
Mark Walker
My father diligently keeps track of his business expenses for tax purposes. Several years ago I noticed that he was using a pen and paper and an old calculator to log his expenses so I developed a spreadsheet that added up all of his expenses by category. This saved him a significant amount of time, but still takes far longer than it should. He runs into trouble when he loses receipts, and saving the hard copies of his receipts is a nightmare.
This spreadsheet is a solution for his expense tracking that allows him to take a picture of each receipt as he receives them, and then at any future date, he can use this spreadsheet to cycle through each picture and log the information. The solution is designed to require no work on his part to email, text, or otherwise save the receipts. (I didn't want him to have to “learn” anything new in order to use the solution I provided.)

This second workbook which acts as a sorter for photos so that when pictures are uploaded from your phone and show up in the expense tracker, you can categorize them and separate them out.
